Hi guys,


Not been on here in a while, really busy with work and life in general!


IS there any chance somebody could take a quick look at my site and tell me if I have done anything wrong SEO wise?

I am trying to rank for the following


laptop repair Colchester
computer repair Colchester
virus removal Colchester
motherboard repair Colchester
laptop screen repair Colchester


I have recently restructured/improved and given my website a much needed face lift! but my rankings seem to have taken quite a knock from this and I am unsure was to why? I have set my homepage to be the IT Support page but this still shows in the URL as the homepage so don't think its anything to do with that?


Any advice will be great!

    Err... You're selling SEO services according to your own website. Shouldn't you be the one answering this question?

    Yes, you've done some stuff wrong on-page. H1 element should not be used just to format parts of text, for example. You're trying to rank for laptop repairs, but your pages seem to be about everything else. That seems like a bad idea.

    Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

      I'm a IT Consultant, so I do offer more services other than just "laptop repairs" so I have a services page and break downs from these pages for laptop repairs/computer repairs etc. There is still some work needed on the site. I'm also going to start up the blog on the site which should hopefully increase the traffic and have a positive effect.

    Trim you meta description as it seems exceeded much.
    Make it below 125 char and do concentrate one specific keyword, for one page that you target(no extra keywords included).
    And also modify you Google Business Listing (map) with Business Name and your services as category names.
    Also try to put a small contact form that a customer can fill it and submit to you for enquiry or message. Which may work for you then now.
