    You can rank a free wix site.. You can rank a YouTube video.. You can rank a PDF... You can rank just about anything, lol. No need to purchase the domain, although people like to so the work they're doing goes into something they have some type of ownership over. Build it on a free Wix site and decide to sell it 2yrs from now.. You have nothing more than a free sub-domain with a bunch of work actually going to Wix's domain.

    Anyways, you don't need a PBN. You're going to need links from other relevant websites/articles coming into your site though.. You can get these from other methods aside from a PBN.

    Yes, you can rank your wix free blog with unique and fresh content. If you are doing so then there may be a chance to get ranking with your primary keywords.

    Pretty much I would just be trying to rank it because iv been learning and I want to practice what iv learned to see if I even have the skill set to rank a site yet. My goal is to get into client seo for small businesses however I don't want to start buying domains or anything like that until I know if I can do it. im very short on funds right now.

    You can rank just about everything? Can I rank my toaster? LOL It should be easy to rank a free Wix website because the domain of Wix already has very good authority. Just make sure that the on page seo of your pages are good enough to be ranked.
