Hi guys as i was looking for expired domains and i see all of the domains are usually deindexed by Google. Why So?
And how can we check whether domains was removed due to any inactivity or any penalty or manual actions by Google?
And what is the best method to find the right and working expired domains which are still good in Google's eyes.
Thanks a Lot.

Once a domain is available for sale its registration has been expired for about 3 months, so Google takes it out of the index. So all the expired domains you see are deindexed.

You won't know for sure if, additionally, a domain has a Google penalty. But checking its content before it expired (archive.org and screenshots.com) will usually reveal how the domain was last used. If it was part of a PBN or was used to sell porn, pharma, gambling, etc, then there's a good chance it has a penalty (otherwise the previous owner would have paid the 10 bucks to renew the registration). Also check the backlink profile. That will give you a good indication if the domain might be penalized. For instance, if the anchor text on many of the backlinks shows the site was used to sell uggs, cheap this or that, viagra, etc, then there's a good chance the domain has a penalty.

Google's crawler will see the domain is no longer registered and then de-index it..Still, very easy to get them re-indexed later on.

You can check if the domain is still indexed with Google by visiting Google.com and typing:
    site:domain.com
    or
    site:www.domain.com

If the homepage shows up, then it's indexed. On some occasions the homepage may already be de-indexed, but old inner-pages might still show up..

As for domains you should be looking for, I recommend going through the lists and looking at specific metrics of the domains. Not just how many backlinks it has, but what those backlinks look like. Are they spammy? are they from blog comments? Just because a site has PR or backlinks doesn't mean they are of decent quality. Use sites like Ahrefs and MajesticSEO to analyze the names and see what's behind them. You can even use Archive.org to see what the previous site(s) looked like.

    Hi,

Yes most expired domains are not indexed, however with the right build structure and content, the domains can be indexed rather quickly. I use expired domains all the time with my customers and I see that they can usually get indexed within 2-4 weeks.

Here is a guide on how to find some good expired domains and the process me and my team goes through in order to find quality ones.

    Ultimate Expired Domain Guide

    Cheers

I also think there are other determining factors when it comes to Google re-indexing of expired domains. I get some indexed in less than a week while a few can take up to a month despite submit the url to Google submit page.

Hmmmm. Of the many, many expired domains I've bought, all have been re-indexed within a few days. Often as little as one day, at most about four days. I put the domain on hosting and put up a page of content (any content), and then ping the domain using a free submitter like masspinger dot com. Don't know if that last step matters, but what the heck, can't hurt.
