Hey,

I am helping my wife with her SEO. She is a lawyer and I am looking to submit some of her articles to this blog website I found on Fiverr.

The person provided me their link and i went on PageRank Checker - Instantly Check Google PageRank!.

The blog is 4 years old and PR4. All the content on this website appears to be about the legal field.

In my opinion, this sounds like a legit website to post content into with a backlink. What do you all think? I am always skeptical about Fiverr so i just wanted some input.

Check whether the posts on the website are new. If they are old, don't bother posting anything there.

Not only check pagerank but also domain authority. If domain authority is good than its worth posting.

The PR means nothing. It's soon two years out of date, and you could fake it back in the day.

I didn't do thorough analysis, but the link profile seems very spammy to me. In fact it's spammy enough that it's hard for me to believe that the site ever was a PR4.

Take one of the backlink checkers to it, and see for yourself. There's a ton of low-value links, but only handful of anything decent. I'm not sure if I'd want a backlink from a site like that.

Also, a lot of the content is just a sham.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

      What's your excuse?

nettiapina, you are so right. thanks for saving me some money and any possible issues with Google. Hardest part of SEO for a novice like me is just finding blogs within my niche to contribute to.
