Hi Warriors,

I am new in Niche Marketing and I am hoping that you can help me with this question:

Can I out-rank websites like Ebay, Alibaba, Walmart etc?

For example, I'm doing keyword research and for my main keyword the top 10 results have websites like Ebay,Youtube,Alibaba,Amazon & Walmart.

The page authority is between 1-10 for all top 10 results - which I consider this to be Good - they have zero links, zero juice links but the domain authority is over 90 because they are Ebay,Youtube,Alibaba,Amazon,Walmart etc.

Here are the stats for the keyword:

PAGE AUTHORITY: Between 1 - 46
PAGE LINKS: Between 0 - 7
JUICE LINKS: Between 0 - 0
MOZ RANK: Between 0.00 - 4.00
PAGE RANK: Between 0 - 2

DOMAIN AUTHORITY: Between 83 - 100

So, Can I outrank these websites? Is it going to be easy or hard taking into consideration the rest stats I provided?

Your comment's will be much appreciated

You will never outrank those sites for specific item searches.
And there's good reason for that. Google is not stupid.

So you have to look for ways to get in through the back door.

Let's take something like heated slippers.

Google wants to send you to the page to buy them, because they
think that you want to buy them. Now.

The back door would be to try for phrases like

how can I keep my feet warm?
    my feet are cold.
My slippers are not warm enough

Sure, other big sites might get some action, but it leaves a
    bigger door open for you.

And of course you pitch sales for heated slippers.

The trick is to compete for phrases that DO NOT mention
specific products, but a problem. And you solve it.

Amazon won't compete for those phrases.

Search for cheap ibuprofen, amazon comes up.
Search for headaches in the morning cures, and you get
    something else.

Funny thing, amazon gets the business no matter what.

They don't even need to rank.

If you are going for brand kws eg "Philips GC1905 1440-Watt Steam Iron with Spray", it will be next to impossible to outrank them. Go for general kws instead eg best iron box, iron box reviews etc and start with long tails eg best iron box 2015. I hope you get the drift.

Unfortunately, both of the previous posters are wrong....it is very easy to outrank these types of businesses because they simply have a stock description for those products. Now, if someone searched for "buy <product name>" then you'd likely be out of luck, but for "<product name> review", the door is wide open.

The strategy would be to put five articles about that product on your site....one a super in-depth, 1,500 word authority article that explains every aspect (good, bad, etc.), and then write a few more articles pointing to that page. If the copy is good enough and the content is interesting, then you stand a decent chance to rank.

Absolutely junk reply. Makes no sense in the real world,
      and will get you nowhere.

I can't believe people buy crap.

      But then, 1 000 0000 000 000 000 000 flies eat dung.

I search for heated slippers review, I get amazon.

I search for volt slippers review, I get amazon.

I search for slippers that work in the cold, I still get amazon.

But that last search has a more varied result, a small window open.
