Putting AdSense code on your PBN -- footprint?

Hi, I've heard the best way to develop a quality private blog network is to build each site to make money on its own i.e. advertising or something similar.

The problem I see with that strategy is that putting AdSense on more than one site will obviously create a footprint. Is there any simple way to deal with this?

    Yes. Don't use AdSense.

You can use adsense for any number of PBN that are following adsense TOS. There is no issue of footprint in it.

It absolutely creates a footprint. The question is whether or not you care if there is a footprint or not.

Google only allows one AdSense account per person. You could probably jump through hoops to make use of a second account (incorporate an online business and get a separate employee ID number, use the account of a trusted friend or relative, etc). But realistically, one person, one account. With that said, YES, adding Google AdSense to multiple websites creates a HUGE footprint - Google immediately knows the websites are under the ownership of one person. If the sites are part of a PBN, don't do it.

If it's important to try to monetize PBN sites, then try selling ad space on sites, without using Google AdSense. Easier said then done, as most PBN sites get little traffic and people don't want to pay for ads on low-traffic sites.

WTH do you think an Adsense Publisher ID number is in the HTML source code?

I've heard of using iframes to "hide" code on a page, not something I know too much about and whether this would help with dissolving a footprint. Are there other things like this that can be done?

If you are going to try to hide something, then what was the point of using it in the first place?

Look. This is not that complicated. If you do not want to make it obvious that a group of websites are owned by the same person or company, then do not use the same monetization method on all of them.

So if you are trying to hide any links between your network sites, then do not use AdSense on more than one of them.

On the other hand, if you do not care if Google or anyone else knows that the same entity owns all the sites, then there is nothing to hide from.

You can't do that. It's a violation of TOS.

Google could care less if you own a gazillion of site and slink them up,
      complete with adsense.

They "might" care if you are doing bad things, violating TOS, etc.

So, the bottom line is: Stop doing or wanting to do, stupid things.

Was it the guy standing beside the giant footprint?
