Hello everyone, I'm a beginner in SEO and I know that good keywords are very important, but I haven't any idea about finding them.

These are my main questions:

1) How can I find the best keywords for my web pages?

2) How many keywords should I assign to each page on my website?

Thank you so much for your helps and good comments.

Choosing a keyword is not that easy. So choose your keyword, according to what your organization are up-to.. Choose your keyword according to, what service your organization providing.. I suggest keyword planner to choose an good keyword.. Please make sure that, you choose any "medium" weight-age keyword, because if you choose high volume keyword, there will be an lot of competition for the particular keyword.. So average surfed keyword.

Use google to search for competitors who have similar websites. Once you have found a few competitors have a look at what keywords they use and make a list of possible keywords to use.

Go to google ad words keyword planner and put those keywords in their.

This will give you more keywords as well as search volume and will tell you how competitive each keyword is.

From that you will get a really good idea which are the best to use. In the beginning dont use the keywords with the highest competition but get keywords with medium or low competition who still have decent search volume.

Choosing or selecting keywords is always challenging because there are many opportunities but only a few that can be effectively targeted at one time. So consider these things when making a selection.
      • Do not select brand name keywords unless your website is affiliated with the brand name
      • Consider the intent of the searcher
      • Realize that most people who are searching are really re-searching
      • Some know exactly what they want
If you find a keyword that has clear intent, then you may have found a great search term to pursue.

A lot of people don't use keyword research tools anymore, but I do.

I'm a HUGE fan of Long Tail Pro.

Plop your keyword lists into that program and it'll literally tell you what will be easy, medium or hard to rank.

Saves you a ton of time so you can focus on just keep finding more keywords.

As far as how many to rank on one page, it depends on how long the article is. For a longer article you can easily rank for a main keyword and 5-6 ancillary keywords.

Just make sure the article sounds natural not robo-text.

When choosing keywords in your niche it is very important you choose keywords with high visitor ratings but with low competition. There are millions of keywords out there with high visitors but with hardly any competition!

Many people suggest Google keyword planner for finding keywords. You will find keywords with GKP but the tool will not tell you the low competition keywords. For this, you need other tools like Long Tail Pro or Secockpit

To find best keywords use long tail pro, it will give you a long list of keywords with their search volume and competition marking. They use Moz api for measuring competition.

Still lots of other things to consider like conversion possibilities, what kind of sites are ranking on first and second pages for individual keywords etc.

You can easily choose 4-5 keywords per page, or even more. But they need to be closely relevant. For example, how to add keywords to website, how to add keywords to your website, how can i add keywords to my website, tips to add keywords to website etc.

I think you got my point, if you are not too familiar with it, then you can recruit someone experience for this task.
