I'm learning how to use Long Tail Pro, and as i went thru the training I came to the "Average Competitiveness" that you have to pay a monthly subscription for. All the reviews i saw say it's worth it.

But i went onto Googles Keyword Planner and searched for some of the same items (i.e. "shoe accessories") and they have a column labeled "Competition".

I know that they each of these items are probably calculated differently, but i need to know if the end results is different enough to justify the monthly expense of LTPro upgrade.

Can anyone comment on whether it's worth it, or should i just use the Google Competition score?

The competition in the Google Keyword Tool has nothing to do with organic search competition.

It is a measure of the competition among AdWords advertisers.

The long tails keywords are very useful for a small niche, I've a blog based only on long tails and it took around 4 to 5 months to rank well with a little linkbuilding, now the blog have 400 visits per day. The long tails are slow to rank but works great
