Hi,
I have a question regarding PBN.

To leave no footprint do I need to use fake accounts to register the domains?
Or
can I just register the domains with my personal information and change the Whois information with fake names etc.

Same for hosting..? Change SOA information or register under fake name?

Just let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

You want to use different hosting accounts. do NOT use "Seo hosting" because Google is aware of these hosts, so having different C Class Ips won't help you.

As for your domains, if possible, add private registration to them. If you don't want to go that far, just use fake who is information for them. You can also spread your domains on different registrar's but not required.

the most important part to it is having different hosts, anything else is considered OVERKILL. But go as far as you'd like with it.

I would not use fake registration information. If you are going to, just remember that if you use fake information you do run the risk of losing the domain if the registrar asks you to confirm your registration details. That is something happening more and more.

That may be true, but you should use email accounts on them that you have access to. So you can pass any registrant verification that gets sent for that domain. Just create a free email account for each domain. simple as that. Don't over think. Just take action.

          Hi,
          Thank you for your replies.

Yes, that was also my issue. I bought a domain name of 69$. The moment I use fake register information, I can loose the domain because it's registered to a fake name.

I can register to my own name and change all contact information which is shown in who.is information, but I am not sure if that would leave any more footprints?

So do you have an answer to the question: Do I leave footprints when I change the contact / technical contact etc. on the domain, but registered on my own name?

          Thanks!

You don't need to use fake names. Using Whois Privacy is enough. Also use different hosting providers for diversity. Avoid SEO hosting!

      Hi,
Yes Whois will work. But when I will only use Whois Privacy for my PBN, this is also a footprint..

Therefore my question if I register on my own name and change contact info etc. Would this be enough?

Just use the Whois Privacy. Privacy is prevalent enough that it really is not a footprint. Many real, legit, non-SEO network type sites are using privacy to avoid all the spam you get if you do not have privacy on a domain.

If you start creating fake registration details, you risk losing the domain. ICANN is cracking down more and more every year on that stuff.

@mendezz69 For hosting, it is important to host your websites with multiple providers. Avoid resellers of resellers. You can figure out who is reselling twice by asking for the IP and then checking the IP’s ASN record in ARIN.

For the privacy, avoid providing fake information as it breaks the TOS of most registrars and iCann. It can land you in legal trouble if you’re caught. Use multiple registrars. Don't put don't put all eggs in one basket.

    @InitialEffort Thanks for you post!
So changing the Whois information should be fine?

I would say the most important factor here would be variety.

It would not be recommended to have all your back links coming from whois protected sites.

It is much better to set up some fake personas as well. If you have access to the email, you can always confirm the ownership. Together with fake whois is is also good to set up Twitter and Facebook under the same name. Your sites will become more credible that way.

Also using different registrars helps. Each registrar usually has different whois protection details so if you are just using say namecheap, then all your whois is the same. If you use different registrars, your whois is different.

Same goes for hosting. Recommended are small cpanel accounts on different server registered under a different email each time.

Vary as much as possible also when building PBNs themselves and you will be good.

Privacy whois for all PBN domains is another footprint. Diversify with real and fake whois to appear natural to Google
