Hello there,

I read and research when I need info, however, Im struggling with this decision, since I'b about to start entering and optimizing my products.

I am using Wordpress with WooCommerce, and have installed the Yoast SEO Plugin.

I have attached a screenshot for better understanding.

My question is, should be The Product Title, which will be showed on the pageitself, I guess with <h1>, be the same as the SEO Title, which will be then displayed when searching for the product on Google?

Example : Leather Master is a brand, just as Information

Product Title, which will be visible on the webpage : Leather Master Leather Care Set

SEO TITLE, which will be visible on Google : Leather Care Set by Leather Master | Whatever the name of the website is

I hope you get what I mean. Valentin

Yeah, get the keyword into the H1 tag, too.

      Synnuh,

Thank you for the fast reply.

I just wanted to double check, that actually having the Product Title and the SEO Title different, or formulated in a different way, won't be seen as a problem by the Search Engines.

Best practice is to make them match. It won't harm your rankings if they don't.

If you were dead even with a competitor (if that's actually possible) and have both matching, while your competitor has mismatching title and H1 tags, you may eek out a ranking. I don't know if it would even be that big of a deal in that situation.

Can't say for sure unless Google addresses it, but best practice is to make them match.

Thanks you for your answer Synnuh.

The competitors are not that strong in terms of SEO - what I mean is, that they don't pay much attention to it, as of my observation. Outranking them, should be a doable job in near future.

    The thing is:
1.I prefer having it with the Brand in the beginning on the product page and within the website - Leather Master Leather Care Set

but want it the other way to be shown on Google - Leather Care Set by Leather Master , since It is more imortant, that all what it is about is the leather care set.

In that case, go with what you want. If the competitors are weak, you don't have a lot to worry about. The variations of the keyword will get you ranking for other unintended phrases.

    Synnuh,

All I want is to change the order of the keywords with in the Product Title and the Seo Title. Which unintended keywords do you mean will get me ranking, do you mean the brand at the beginning of the Product Title (so Leather Master) in that case

    You could rank for

    "leather master care kit"
    "master leather care kit"
    "leather care kit"

Or any other variations that a user may enter. Since the competition is so low, and people aren't going after the exact variations, Google will give your pages emphasis.

      Okay, thanks gotcha.

One page can be ranked for many terms, right?

I mean, despite the facts we focus on one keyword, google still can rank us for other, relevant / included in the page etc?

Yeah, Google will rank your pages for whatever they deem relevant. When you're dealing with low competition across all the keywords you're trying to target, you're going to end up popping up for random combinations of the same keywords.
