How Do You Choose Keywords for Content Network

Hi,

I read somewhere about having only one keyword for an adgroup but don't remember exactly where. I want to ask that do I need to add all variations of a keyword to an adgroup for the content network?

For example I want to create an adgroup around the keyword "ab exercises for men". Is it enough to have only the keyword "ab exercises for men" or should I add all the related variations that Keyword Tool suggests? I am asking this for content network only.

It is said that for the content network, Google determines a theme. One keyword is not enough and the consensus is to have 20-30. In fact, I'm pretty sure from experience that they determine a group's theme for the search network too in quality score calculations.

In general however, I recommend targeting specific sites for your niche. Sites that men frequent a lot, not necessarily fitness sites. I'm thinking sports information, blogs and forums to start with.
