Stop Trying to Buy Top-Tier Links. You Can Earn Big Links With One Piece of Good Content

Buying one big time link isn't going to help you, I promise.

It is much, much better to earn several of these top-tier links with a good piece of content. And here is exactly how to do it:

(FYI I specialize in viral content and getting top-tier backlinks for people... the following is exactly what I do for my clients... exactly).

1. Take whatever niche your website is in, and think of the different themes that are related to it. For example, if you sell dog food, some of the related themes are pets, dogs in general, and animals in general.

2. Now combine one of those themes with something that is popular on the internet. The most popular types of content on the internet are pop culture, regional "ego bait," sports, personal style, and stuff that is just plain weird.

3. For example, let's take the theme of "pets" and combine that with something super popular like "comic books."

4. Formulate an idea. In this instance our idea will be "Comic Book Cats and Canines" a graphic showing the pets of popular super heroes.

5. Get a researcher from a freelancer site like upwork or elance, or spend some time and do the research yourself.

6. Hire a designer from the same site, ask them to put your data into a cool visual.

7. Take the finished asset and upload it onto a site like imgur.

8. Find journalists that write for the big sites you are targeting, their email addresses are pretty easy to figure out in many cases.

9. Formulate a simple pitch email... "Hey John, Got the exclusive on a cool image I thought you'd like, check it out (insert imgur link). Let me know if you're interested."

10. Send this email to several journalists... if the content is good.. then someone will pick it up and write an article about the project and include a nice big link back to your site.

11. Not only will you get a link from that site, but big publishers watch one another, and if the content is good, other journalists will write about the story and also include another link. This starts the viral effect.

12. Repeat this process.

I've had projects get over 15 top-tier links before, and have gotten links from pretty much every big time site there is (do a Google search for "Average Faces of Rock" for an example).

It takes time, effort and creativity, but this strategy will yield MUCH better results than trying to purchase single top-tier links. We did 4 projects for a client over 7 months and this increased their organic traffic and revenue by over 50% when compared to the previous year, and over 20% when compared with the previous period.
