For moz keyword difficulty whatever keyword i write always give me 40%+ lol ( in my opinion its a useless tool)

But for wordtracker really nice
and kwfinder also very good.

I hesitate which one can you guys recommend ( for KEYWORD DIFFICULTY not KEYWORD RESEARCH) ?

    Hi there,

This is Maros from Mangools. Let me explain how these keyword difficulties work

Almost every keyword research tool has its own algorithm to calculate the difficulty score.

We pay a lot of attention to link profile and take Moz metrics (PA, DA, MR, MT) into account.

    This is the calculation process:

    1. We calculate the SEO rank for every website featured on the first page of Google SERP.
    2. The SEO rank considers the quality of the website link profile. It's based on a calculation of Moz metrics.
    3. We take into account the Domain Authority of each website.
    4. Finally, we generate an average of the mentioned above and this is the final value - the SEO Difficulty.

Generally speaking, it's not really about comparing different types of difficulty scores. It's more about correlation among them and relative comparison of the same difficulty score types.

Feel free to read our blog post to find out more: https://mangools.com/blog/what-is-ke...eo-difficulty/

And one more thing, Lewis from authorityhacker made this comparison full of useful info: https://www.authorityhacker.com/best...esearch-tools/

    Hope this helps!

Problem with moz is their backlink checker is rubbish and that's the main factor for ranking still

Generally speaking it's not really about comparing different types of difficulty scores. It's more about correlation among them and relative comparison of the same difficulty sources.

On top of that you always have to count with your own unique SEO difficulty based on your needs and skills.

stop looking at the keyword difficulty scores

I look at page one and average the DA values to get an idea of what is going on as was mentioned previously

that's not the only thing you need to consider
also take a look if low DA value sites are holding the top positions, when I see that generally it means to me the higher DA sites are not as relevant when looking deeper into their content

after that it is a crap shoot
