in some country google results i'm on the 2 place but on USA results i dont even on the first page?

Hey

how can it be that in some country google results i'm on the 2 place but on USA results i dont even on the first page?
what can i do to change my results on usa results?...
until now i sent angela backlinks with anchor text to my site...is it ok?..

i would very appreciate your help...thanks!

    It really depends on your site on-page content. Do you set anything that tells google that the site is not interesting to English speakers? Like for example, most sites in the US will have these headers (I just grabbed them from WF itself ) :
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="en">
    ...
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
    header. Your site probably has something different because you edited it with a localized piece of software.

    the truth is that in this situation it is a goarticle page which i'm trying to promote on google...
