Hello fellow warriors.

I have created several web 2.0 pages to link to my main site.
They are all 750+ words long.
The pages are squidoo, hubages, weebly, wetpaint, google sites and others.

On each site there are 3 links to my main site, with the 3 different anchor texts that I try to rank high for.

But is that the best way to do it?
Is it better to just have 2 links, 1 for my main page and 1 for one of the other web 2.0 pages....?

I am also promoting the sites with directory submission.

I suggest using a link wheel. Each web 2.0 site can link to your main site and a neighboring web 2.0 page. I like to make smaller link wheels, it ensures that if one gets sabotaged for whatever reason, the others stay intact.

Yes, having 2 links is fine until the other web 2.0 page is active. You should regularly check for broken links if you are using more than 1 link. Also directory submission is good and a very common SEO strategy.

Thanks alot for the kind replies.

Since I have 12 of these webpages, I think I will create 3 small link wheels.

    So:
Each page has 2 links to my main page and a link to neighboring web 2.0 page. 4 Web 2.0 pages in a wheel. 3 sets of wheels....

Each web 2.0 page will be submitteded to 1000+ directories and 50+ bookmarking sites.

    Sounds like a plan?
