    Image can get visitors from Search Engine image search and Image should be attracting.

    One of our group member mostly search images for his need and what does he select?

    The image which attracting
    The image which is perfectly matching his search
    The image which describing his search

    So, Image can provide you a lot of traffic from search engine as well as from social media.

    Points to be follow,

    Image weight should be low,
    Format should be jpg or png,
    Image should be attractive, professional and must defining your topic.
    A good title of Image
    Image ALT tag should contain targeted keyword no more than 3 word in Alt tag.

    Yes, now Images do help to increase the traffic i.e. to attract the visitor. But one need to optimize the image properly in order to make their Image visible in the Google search(Image).

    I'd rank images mostly for branding (domain name watermarks) considering Google Images forces traffic through hoops (multiple link clicks before they land on a money page).
