its best to do it without software. As you might know with MOST websites your comment has to be approved first before it becomes visible. The webmaster has to do that.

if you want your manual comments to get approved here a few tips:

    1. Read their article then in your comment Ask a question about it! This is a very old trick that still works, but in order for them to give a reply/answer they NEED to approve your comment.

    2. don't act spammy.. just make it look as natural as possible (with your words choice)

    3. don't try to ahref your text within a comment, they will immediately know its spam

My tip is simple. Don't do blog commenting. It is a lousy way to get backlinks.

Also, do not take on jobs that you cannot complete.

Blog comment spam is a pretty lousy way to build backlinks and if the website is smart the no-followed them anyway. Mike's advice is correct.

In my opinion if you want to do healthy blog commenting first you have to read the blog thoroughly and then answer it in a genral and simple words.Be careful that your comment must be relevant and to the point.

I don't know if it's the language barrier or what, but I'll never understand how people who clearly know the business can say that a particular task doesn't help at all, yet 15 other people will come in and say it's the "best method". We're talking about the exact opposite ends of the spectrum here, is it the best method or does it do nothing at all?

Do you see Best Buy, Amazon, Wal-Mart, or any legitimate businesses advertising through blog comments? The only ones you see doing it are internet marketers (who don't know any better) and poor local businesses that hired an awful "SEO'.

I think I came across wrong in my last post.

After a very little bit of research I have found what you said to be true. But that's not going to stop the next 15 people from saying how great blog comments are.

Blog commenting is very effective but only when you do it rightly. Here are the tips.

1- Use your real name instead of promotional words or domain name etc. for commenting.
2- Check the blog/site, is it cached or not. Or when it cached.
3- Must check DA before commenting as you want to add only authority links
4- Find the relevant blogs/sites to comment (you may go with Google Alerts)
5- Comment logically and avoid 2 or 3 words comment like nice, very good, awesome etc.
Importantly, Always keep in mind that links through comments don't remain in your hand so always do it very attentively.

Thought I would just chime in on this since I have a lot of experience in this arena. First blog comments are almost but excluded in the SEO world today. You might see a bit of a spike on Yahoo and Bing if you hit it hard but it will be short lived. That being said you WILL see results if your comments pertain to the questions. However the results will be from the community not the search engines.

But let's run a test. Here is a link to a BS page for the long tail phrase "the alternative to pepsi" (no affiliation whatsoever) Pepsi alternative -- Crossword clue | Crossword Nexus currently its at the bottom of page three on Google. I'm willing to bet diamonds for dollars that this page will not move up in ranking whatsoever based off of this post. That link however will probably get some clicks. Why because people interested in this topic will read this and wonder what page it links too. FYI it's a trackable like so I'll publish the results in a couple weeks.

What does that mean? Well it means any comment software no matter how good will only give you results if you are infact engaged in the conversation.

Furthermore I agree with @MikeFriedman don't take on jobs you don't have the experience to do. As an employer nothing infuriates me more than when I come to find out I am paying for someone's learning curve.

All that aside the web is a place to ask any question regardless of its merit and get an answer. For for purely educational purposes I recommend Crowd Force. It's expensive and exclusive (as it should be) but here is a video to show what you can do:

Blog commenting is out dated. Try creating web 2.0 sites then post anchortext links with different client links.

You save time and money that way.

And because you are linking to different websites with each post, it won't look like spam.

  • Search for similar niche relevant posts on Google for your website niche in the last few days, filter them by authority and post on the websites with good authority.
