Q: Blog keyword ranking issues

I recently created a blog on top level domain and choose 3 topics to post articles on, like blogging, technology and mobiles, I optimize main site and also done on page SEO like putting keywords in title of post, keywords in post url, keywords in h1, keyword in image alt and meta description. there are nearly 40 articles in my site and all are fully optimized and made by after doing traffic research etc. BUT, still my site is not ranking in search for any 1 of keyword and I am not getting traffic from search engine, I am using webmaster tool, evrything is Ok, google indexed it and dont' know whats going on, why its not getting search traffic. is it due to less backlinks? please help me regarding this issue. plz.

    Hi, I don't have much input on how to solve your problem other than the keywords you are targetting are incredibly high competition. I would try and target longer tail keywords.

    When you say not ranking do you mean not ranking on page one or not there at all. I created a post about a week ago using a long tail keyword and made it to page 4 within days. I don't have many back links.

    It's about keyword research. You should target low competition long tail keywords. Have backlinks on your site and post regularly.

    Sir floydarthur , I've done some research, find low competition keywords, (but maybe they are not much longtail) and I am posting on daily bases from nearly 2 months. hope you will guide me more ... also tell me how can I get quality white hat backlinks in high authority sites? I am so confuzed about marketing my blog...
