You can check manually yourself but this will be somewhat tedious and tiresome depending on how many keywords you need to check...

If you use mozilla firefox then you can activate private browsing and check that way..

I personally prefer to use software for this.. simply add your keywords and urls and let the software check the rankings for you daily.. There are many tools on the market that can do this.. I personally use a tool called KWRanktracker

Yes i know we can check ranking with help of many tools easily. My question is : results of two tools are different (for eg smallseotools amd Serps.com) which one is correct how can i know except if we check them manually.

yukon Link is less lame than your answer. It looks like you know more than Matt Cutts ? so how's that if you answer my query rather than venting your frustration here?

Thank you guys for your answers... Checking manually is best option according to most people.

What a choir of parrots. How many keywords are you guys even checking daily? Or even weekly? I would guess that it's not more than 10.

Manual checking is so error-prone that I would not recommend it for this reason alone. There's multiple ways to shoot yourself in the foot. At least the SERP trackers keep their settings consistent. Also, they save the historical data which helps you to show trends and your success as a SEO. I, for one, would hate writing rankings to Excel file or something.

Well, I guess you got your answer. I, for one, would not look for the majority opinion among the gormless and feckless.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

You have a point even i hate maintaining excel sheets. Nowadays i am using 2 tools to check keyword position
Step 1: Check keywords on smallseotools and https://online.seranking.com/admin.site.list.html
Step 2 Check manually if they are giving different ranking for a keyword ;-) (Keyword will be near position mentioned in tools)

If you want to check the ranking of your keyword incognito mod of Google chrome is one of the best way to use. To open the incognito mod you have to use the keys Ctrl+shift+N. As it does not keep any kind of cookies so it gives the most relevant result so far. Rather than using any tool you may use the incognito mod of Google chrome to get the ranking of your keyword

No tool can give 100% accurate results.... Best thing one can do is go to private browsing and search manually... Before searching make sure you are not logged in to your Gmail account

One of the best method to check rankings is manually. But, you have to remove all cookies and cache before doing that. You can also make use of SERP trends, which is an seo extension in google chrome.

I use this tool: SERP Checker
It's really simple to use and good. It will remember your last/best position as long as you keep the window open and you can select what country version of Google you would like to check!

Actually WhatsMySERP will remember your results for 30 days in cookies for non-registered users, but for registered it keeps the information forever because it stores the information in a database. For registered users it also tracks and graphs up to the last 4 months of checks. All results direct from google and free.

Use incognito window in Google chrome to check your current rankings (I am supposing you are not deep in search results as it's a little bit tedious)
