Hello Everyone,

I was wondering, once the website reaches page one on Google search results for the targeted keywords, what would you guys do to keep it on page one and not let it drop back to lower pages?

Analyze what you've done to reach page 1, and do a little more of that same thing. For low to moderately competitive keywords I've found that a few good backlinks here and there are usually enough to maintain ranking (for very competitive keywords, more are necessary).

Also, you didn't say where on page 1 you rank. Huge difference in traffic between ranking #1 and ranking, say, #9. If you're low on page 1, keep working as it might take much more effort to get to the top of page 1.

Thank you for the info. The website is ranking at #1 and #2 for a couple of keywords. For some keywords its on the lower part of page 1 and I am working on them to get it to #1.

My concern is once its at the top how much effort would it take to keep it up there.

After reaching the number one position in the first page, Don't stop in updating your site pages. Take time to analyze your pages and determine the engagements within your site. Improve the pages that are not performing well in the web.

I'd buy a Lamborghini, if you're not doing that then you're targeting the wrong keywords.
