The plugins provide great security from script kiddies, and with the right settings you will also annoy the crap out of them as well.

1. Limit Login Attempts- Limit rate of login attempts, including by way of cookies, for each IP.

After installation and activation of this plugin, on the right, look for Settings > Limit Login Attempts.

Use the below settings for setting up this Limit Login Attempt plugin.

The above plugin is the #1 stopper to prevent script kiddies from taking over your websites.

2. Captcha by BestWebSoft - Plugin Captcha intended to prove that the visitor is a human being and not a spam robot. Plugin asks the visitor to answer a math question.

After installation and activation of this plugin, on the right, look for BWS Plugin > Captcha

Use the below settings for setting up this Captcha service.

Bonus, you can click the Whitelist tab to add your ip, this will not show any Captcha when you are logging in.

A bonus would be to not use Admin or Administrator either for login to your WordPress website, so use your name. And also ensure that you have symbols in your password for strength...
