Hey, for what tier do you use any of those? do you think forum signatures can rank a website for a keyword? the same with forum comments.

do you think forum account profiles still work or are only good for diversification purposes?

You can never have enough useless nofollow links from weak pages.

Look at the code of any link in this forum... It you see rel='nofollow' it passes neither juice nor anchor text.

Look at the page the link is on on something like majestic seo... If it's got no backlinks, it's got no power, so even if the link came without the nofollow tag, there would be no juice to pass.

You're not ranking any of your money pages with nofollow links period so it really doesn't matter what you call the backlink page (profile page, forum sig, etc...).

Even If you happen to find a followed forum link with a high PR (RIP) odds are it will be paginated (multiple forum pages deep per each thread) where your backlink on a new comment will be on a PR0 webpage If your lucky.

      Therefore, weak pages.

so it must be do follow, and have backlinks pointing to that backlink page

dont think is worth to do a tier pointing to the forum link if its dofollow?, what do you think?

    Read my sig.

I hear that Google treats all sig links, even the "followed" ones, much like they'd have nofollow set.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

    What's your excuse?

I think you heard it wrongly. If it was true then it will not be able to explain why I got to the first page of Google for my search terms within 2 months using mainly signature links.

I know it's rhetorics, but the first sentence is just completely ludicrous. I was listening to a guy explicitly telling how (he sees that) things work. You, a random internet user, claim that I didn't hear something correctly. Does that make sense even to yourself?

And about your anecdote. It's impossible for anyone to explain anything about it with this set of data, and the things you've obviously omitted here. We don't know the keyword. We don't know if your claim about ranking is accurate. We have no clue what the word "mainly" stands for, and we don't know the backlink profile of the site/domain.

Lets say that it's a long tail keyword or a unique brand name you're talking about, and you've got no competition. You would not need that many decent links. If you protest and say that you would never talk about something as silly as "ranking a brand name" - well, it's an everyday occurrence on WF. I don't know you, or your site.
