Hi,

I couldnt get any clear answer for my question yet. Is there any expert of SEO , doing this without getting lots of spammy links.

How can we find a lower cost SEO expert (with really worth of paying) and what is the budget we should spend?

I know it depends on website and keyword, for example getting "hiking boot" keyword for a footwear website? Is it just possible with getting keywords?

Thanks

How much you should spend depends on how much profit what you sell makes you... What is is worth to you to rank #1 for x keyword... Which means, you know what kind of traffic there is and how well your website converts.

Then, you spend as much as you can afford or as much as it makes sense.

Not all expensive SEO companies are good, not all cheap SEO companies are bad.

You need to find a company you trust, and understand what you are buying. Some will get you high in the ranks based on links you lease from sites they own; some will build a bunch of internet properties just for you to get you ranking; some will focus on contacting webmasters in related industries and getting you links; some will do all of the above; some will do social stuff and call it SEO.

You need to know who owns the links (what happens to them when you stop paying the particular SEO expert(s) you hired).

You should be talking to SEO people who are open about what they're doing and who talk about ranking and getting you sales not just about getting you ranking.

They should be doing keyword research upfront, then keep doing keyword research based on what's happening with your site... (As you start ranking, for keyword x, you'll get visitors via keywords a, b and c. Someone should analyze keywords a, b and c and determine whether they're worth pursuing or not...)

But how much is a question only you can answer.

As little as you can while getting the results you're after.

Great SEO can be done free of charge, or you could pay a crappy agency $2k a month and get little results.

ROI is what matters. What are your ranking goals, and how much do you project you'll profit from those accomplishments? Now figure out the least you can spend to get there, and make sure you get a return on that investment.

Your spend depends on the difficulty of your keyword. For example, you could spend $100/month for an easy keyword, $500/month for a moderate keyword, $1000/month for a hard keyword, and $5000 for an ultra hard keyword.

SEO is so so so much more than simply ranking for your keywords...it's an ongoing process.

You need to look for an SEO person near you, not a company...you'll get much more value as well as time to develop a professional relationship. Make certain that you and your SEO person think alike and is available to be contacted at any time. You and your SEO person need to be on the same page, with respect and honor.

You usually get what you pay for, so set yourself a comfortable budget for monthly SEO.
When you contact a prospective SEO professional, you'll be asked straight away what your budget and expectations are.

An expert SEO will have a ton of questions for you to determine your goals and income projections.

An expert will want to know every little thing about your business so they can customize your SEO for the greatest ROI.

An expert will propose a six month plan (it takes that long to accomplish everything needed to seriously compete in your niche; IE Citations, Squeeze Pages, A/B Testing, Backlinks, Social Media, Videos, Press Releases, Blogging, E-books, etc.)

Remember, SEO is an ongoing process...of building your business. If you should encounter an SEO proposal that sounds like a "set it and forget it" scenario, run like hell.

    Much Success To You!

This depends entirely on your competition. If there's a lot of competition you obviously need to spend much more, and expect results only in the long run.

Divo makes an excellent point. If your prospective SEO consultant is asking a lot of questions that's usually a good sign. Everything depends on the situation and the goals.

I've had a few cases where few hours of on-page work made all the difference, and nothing else was needed at that point. However, in all of those cases the companies had been running for ages and had good enough backlink profiles, but their sites were underperforming to the point that they actually were the bottleneck. That's pretty rare today. Take a decent CMS, and it'll usually have the right elements in the right places.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

      Total oxymoron...cheap & quality???

You must be realistic...cheap and quality are NOT synonymous!

You need to choose because cheap will ALWAYS be a waste of your money and is much more likely to cause SEO issues that will bit you in the ass later on.

Quality SEO will get results that are long lasting and continually build your power online.

Ranking #1 on Google SERPs for the keyword buy auto insurance would be cheap If you could get it done for $200,000 [USD].
