Private Blog Network

I was doing a keyword research and landed on a private blog network. The owner of the network ( 10 of them ) is using it to rank for 6 sites. The keywords are fairly good keywords with high CPC and high search volume.

My question is, do private blog networks still work?

If yes, can anyone share tips or is there a good ebook to guide me through?

Of course they still work. They are links. Until Google stops counting links, they will always work.

That made me chuckle at te folly of this trend. I never realised it then.

However, seeing the way you delivered the adsense thread of yours, do you have an idea on how best to go about private blog networks?

I am interested in experimenting with a network of 10 sites of my own.
