  • You would write content based on your long tail keywords and build links to said page to get it ranked. Basically...

I suggest you register some free web 2.0s (not in your real name and don't use your real email address, go make one at mail.com) and try to rank a site on the keyword "homosexual walrus dating reviews" once you've learned how to do this on that keyword, it will be very easy to do it on ones that actually make money.

So basically, you need a few pages on the main site about the keyword, then your other web 2.0s, you have some related content that links to the main site.

To be clear about this, if you make a page about that keyword and point a single followed link to it, you should be #1.

If you want any other "practice keywords" just PM me, I'm actually pretty good at coming up with them.

For long tail keyword there is 50% chance of your page getting optimized, comparing to the short keywords its more/less 5%.
For the first step, I think, you must consider which keywords to target. For this, You can use keyword tools for traditional keyword research, Can use your own Analytical tool(you can use Google Analytics for the same) Or you can do both.
Secondly, put it on the page's title, headline or content sensibly.
Finally, builds external or internal links for your long tail Keyword.

Gathered from internet data, I have made a quick research and put it on the page.
Giving you more details on how SEO algos differ for different types of keywords -

        For competitive (short) keywords - link anchor text(20%) - Domain authority(25%) - In community links(20%) - link diversity(15%) - site age(15%) - on page optimization (5%)

        Long tail keywords - link anchor text(15%) - Domain authority(15%) - In community links(0%) - link diversity(5%) - site age(15%) - on page optimization (50%)

Since getting a page optimized depends on you, its creator, there is no chance. If you want to optimize it, you do it and it's done. If you don't want to optimize it, you don't, and it's not optimized.

SO WTF are you talking about?

Apparently not. Let me rephrase: what does chance have to do with it when it's all under your control?

Long tail keyword are usually used from main keyword targeting due to high competition along with ranking on the related keyword phrases that are related to your niche.

Build quality content around those long tail keywords and get/earn some links towards these pages. Make sure your on-page is perfect.

    hmm

just find serp pages with low DA values, I normally rank for them less than 25 hours with no links or just a few links, simple

it's real simple just requires some elbow grease and stop looking at keyword planner for all your answers

OP won't rank anything, he can't even do a Google search.

Automatic longtail ranking tool? Dream on...

Thinking is not that hard; accurate thinking is just a smidge harder. Why do people avoid them?

I promise anybody and everybody, a bit of thinking, a bit of taking action based on accurate thinking, and you're well on your way to making money online.

I see the OP hasn't responded yet, so I should probably not bother...

... but, if you're still around, you've already got some good advice in this thread.

In short, it doesn't really matter if your keyword is "long tail" or not. To rank, you need some content on your site that's related to the keyword, and then you need some backlinks from other sites - backlinks that are in text related to the keyword. It would be best if you could get those backlinks on high PR pages (no, we don't know the exact PR of pages any more now that Google doesn't update th PR toolbar, but you should still be able to figure out if a page is "respected" or not by Google (whether or not Google *internally* assigns the page some PR)). If you are unable to get backlinks on authority pages (very likely if you don't own sites under your control), then certainly getting the backlinks on pages of lesser worth (web 2.0) is still worth something, and may be your only bet. If the keyword is low competition, then links on even low authority sites might just be enough to rank (if the competition has little or no authority backlinks).
