    Well, new certificate authorities tend to work pretty poorly for some time. You need browser manufactures (or other certificate authorities) to recognize them as a valid authority. However, there's some big players behind this initiative, and I found web articles that claim full browser support already. "Full" probably as in the latest versions of the browsers.

    I'd just pay the $10/year for a certificate from a long-running certificate authority. Or just not use one as a SEO trick. It's a minor signal in any case.
