Hi Guys,

I've got for my webshop i'm planing two good domains which represents the business properly, it's just a two word domain in my country (Swiss).
e.g.:
productshop.ch
product-shop.ch
I hope this is a good first step for starting the webshop. I wanted to ask from a SEO perspective, how i can use this domains in the best way so i don't get penalized. Does i need to setup the shop on one domain and put for the second domain just a redirect to the other domain or how is it done correctly?
I'm using Woocommerce and the permium plugin from Yoast.

Thanks for your advices.
Cheers,
Manolo

It's very hard to get penalized for something as mundane as a redirect. Stop listening to the ignoramuses and fear-mongerers.

Yes, redirecting one of the domains is a good idea. You don't want Google to see your site in two different addresses.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Ok, thanks for your feedback nettiapina.

And in case of starting the SEO around this, is it important that the links just point to the "main" domain or can they also point to the domain which just get's redirect?
