I have recently put up a html site...and submitted a xml sitemap to webmaster tools.

The main index page got indexed within 3 days...this was about 1 week and a half ago...after that within 2 days, 2 other pages got indexed, the privacy policy and about us pages....

but that was it...I have 12 other pages waiting to be indexed at this time...

when I check my sitemap for indexed URLs it always says that the last download was the previous day....

however the other pages are not getting indexed....

when I do the same with wordpress, I always get a few new pages indexed just about every other day....

This is my first time creating a html site for marketing...I have always used wordpress, but don't know enough php and css to completely redesign them the way I want.

Is it just normal for html sites to take longer to index...? Or maybe I am doing something wrong ?

I am using h1 tags in the headers of all pages, however each page's H1 tag's content is different. Then I am using h2 tags as sub headers before the content of each page.

I am using text links for all pages...the design is very similar to a wordpress theme....2 columns with side bar menu...

any suggestions ?

Thanks

Yes, it is normal for internal pages to take longer to get indexed, and it is also normal for new sites, or sites with very low pagerank to have lots of pages that are not indexed.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Well life is ironic, after posting this question, I went and checked and lo and behold!!... 6 of my pages are showing up ! I guess I will learn to be more patient in the future...
