Greeting Warriors. As we all know that ranking factor has been totally changed as compared to the past. Now the Quality of Backlinks matters the more then the quantity, in order to get higher rank in search engines. But The most important Question is How to Check if the site has an authority ?

I have Created a Excel Spreadsheet of more than 200 Sites with DA50+ PR3-7 each, My hardwork of a week.. I know DA,PR and these metrics matters alot for a site to be authoritative.
Does Authority of Site complete relay on DA,PA,PR (metrics) , which means The more higher these metrics, the more the authority site ?

What are the aspects we need to check in a website before building a backlink to our site ?

Thanking

It doesn't matter If it's an authority site.

What matters is, is the followed backlink on an authority webpage. The exact backlink page URL needs to be an authority & have it's own supporting links. Granted those links can include both internal or external links but it doesn't really matter which one. It's possible to have an authority page & the rest of the site be weak, webpages go viral.

This is one of the most famous webpages/URLs in the history of the internet. They have 2 webpages indexed (site:milliondollarhomepage.com). That could just as easily be a single authority internal webpage.

Those metrics are a waste of time for determining authority. Public PR data has not been updated in 2 years. Moz's metrics are based on their crappy link database and highly inaccurate.

The spreadsheet you created is a total waste of time.

It can be hard to tell, fortunately I try to do link building on big domains (like UCLA.edu) where you already know its an authority domain without looking at the metrics.
