Hello Warriors,

I am getting a lot of traffic (100 uniques a day) and my site is on page 1 of google in 5th position for several keywords, but I am not getting sales.

Can you please take a look at my site?

Thanks

Sam

  • Are you offering what your customers are actually looking for?Are your keywords targeted to the products that you offer?
There is no value in getting a lot of clicks of your site is not targeted.

Yes the three products I offer are the top performing registry cleaners in the market. Do you see anything on the site that can be improved?

    Thanks

I think that most of your visitors get driven away by that banner. Do you use any website tracker like StatCounter or Google Analytics to see what your visitors do after they click your site.

I also think that your page page is kinda busy with a lot of links and if you wanna keep that banner try and make it small so that the content and the review can come on the top.

    For more questions PM me.

Thanks Afaq, but that is not just a banner, it changes title dynamically for each article. It uses a sophisticated adserver technology.

Can others please give your opinion regarding the banner, I will remove it if it will improve visitor experience.

It's very hard to say without seeing your keyword(s) but it looks like the keywords might not be targeted to the buying croud

  • The site seems ok to me. If you have the right visitors you should sell something. I think not the site is your problem but your visitors.
If you start an Adwords campaign not all keywords convert. Even if they sound ok. If you don´t sell anything you assume the keyword isn´t worth anything.
With Adwords you can easily stop paying for non-converting keywords. But with SEO, when people did so much effort to get to the first page, they often have difficulties to accept that they targeted the wrong keywords.
Spy on your competitors. Search EZA for registry cleaner keywords. Look up all the articles of the authors in this niche (preferably authors who wrote a lot of articles, authors who seem to be experienced and succesfull article marketers) , research how many articles they wrote on that niche, how many visitors there articles/keywords get every month and for what articles/keywords they did make the most effort in building backlinks.

In addition you can spy on the Adwords competition. If people, using Adwords and are advertizing for the same products as you, seem to make a profit on certain keywords.

I see nothing wrong with your site. yes, they say that even though your site is on first page of google, still no guarantee that you will make a sale. Also, top 3 are the best in terms of traffic. Once you go below that, you will still get traffic but less. Actually a lot less than the first one. I saw an article which breaks it down by traffic and it goes like this: First spot-less say 1000 views per day, second will be 450, third will be 300 and fourth will be 200 and 5th will be 150. I did not make this up, I saw it somewhere online.

Guys I am targeting a good buying keyword, I did my research using Micro Niche Finder which showed that the kw I am using has good commercial intent. I worked a lot to get my site to 4th position and yes there are google ads for that keyword, plenty actually, the kw is "best registry cleaner"

    Thanks

  • Is "best registry cleaner" a good keyword? May be someone who is searching for that term is still in the "searching phase" and has not yet reached the "buying phase".
If that´s not the case, may be you should put more effort in convincing them that your offer is the best (very best) registry cleaner.
A keyword around a certain computer/registry problem could work better. People have a problem and you offer the solution. The have a problem and they need a solution right now and buy right now.
