Well, if I was making blog comments, I would ask myself: why am I making blog comments? They are usually nofollow links and because of that fact, nothing else really matters.

Can you start a conversation going? Can you add value?

Because you're trying to get direct traffic.

If you're doing for backlinks only, don't do it at all: pissing against the wind gets you backlinks just as powerful but can be done in less time.

You can consider the factors that I present in my sig. Even if the blog comments had "followed" links they're something that should be nofollow. Why would Google let you use obvious spam to rank something?

Blogging is the powerful tool to get organic backlinks to your professional website. So be careful while posting. Try to provide unique and informative blog post along with a link to your website.

This thread was about blog comments, not blogging. And no, if you're doing the blog posting yourself it's not "organic" or "natural".

If you find valuable and High PA DA blog then you comment according to article without using keywords on name area without spamming. so its useful for direct visitors and nofollow backlinks still work.

While commenting on any blog try to make it interesting, so that other people can find it useful for them and take interest in it. Always comment on topic, going off topic will provide a reason for other to unfollow you.

Work as in you eventually see them in the backlink checker of your choice? Well, if that makes you feel good...

Unfollow in the comment section of some random blog? I have no idea how that would work.

Try adding value to the post with your comment. Ask a question, add some new point, point out some mistake, make a suggestion or something. That is basically all about it.

Blog comments are mostly Nofollow and its an area that has become a spam haven. The backlinks from the blog add nothing as they are nofollow, but if you add something of value to the article instead of things like "check this link - "url inserted" you will get click throughs from the blog readers resulting in traffic from your comments
