Hey guys. I am in a big mess right now.

So I had this blog with old url ABC.com and I wanted to shift the blog to XYZ.com
ABC.com was getting 8000 hits per day. For moving to new URL, I did a 301 redirect instead of 302. The redirect was properly done though.

I intimated Google about it via Webmaster tools. All was fine till here.

Now, I have lost all my traffic and rankings. I heard it will taker a week or so to regain but its been 2+ weeks now.

I am unable to gain back the old ranking even after a proper redirect. What can I do?

Odds are you had multiple internal pages ranked instead of a single Home page. A single 301 redirect only redirects backlinks used to rank that single webpage.

You have to manually go through your entire old internal page URLs & create 301 redirects to each previously ranked page/URL.

You're right though, you seriously screwed up messing with the old ranked URLs. Don't mess with ranked pages unless you know what you're doing.

I have redirected all the internal articles/URLS as well. None of the URLs are bouncing.
