Where do I submit a site to Google?
I finished a new site and published it.

Now I need to submit it to Google, but where to: Google webmaster tools along verification and sitemps or this page:
Add your URL to Google)

What is the difference between them?: the last one seems a simplified version.

Thank you

Hey, you don't necessarily submit it to google.

Eventually, traffic will find your site and you will be listed in google's search engine. It took my site a couple of days to get listed but now when I search "free loonie" in google it is in the #1 spot!

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Emma

Submit to Google webmaster. You'll get a lot of analytical data with that submission that you should check from time to time.

    Let Google find you.

For a non-Wordpress blog site I use Pingler and for WordPress site I just use the built-in ping list. In most cases, my new site be indexed within 24-48 hours.

      google love this directory.
The method you have listed is impossible to use now. Had you suggested this three years earlier, it would have worked. But now Getting a site approved in Dmoz directory is next to impossible unless you know the editor of a particular category personally.

Indeed the days of having to submit your website manually to search engines are not really here anymore generally they pick them up very quickly themselves

I've never submitted my site to search engines even when they were new. In fact most people also think it's the worst thing to do. The best way to get your site into Google is by linking to it from a site that has decent PageRank. For new sites I always write a 300 word article related to my website then I submit it to Ezinearticles. It always works for me.

my advice is digg it(digg.com) & mixx it(mixx.com) and submit to some other SB sites and get some backlinks via blog comments, even from the signature in warrior too , that will help google to find your site sooner :p

one seo master explore a tips how to get indexed quick by google.

just add adsense to your new site, and keep visiting the sites/different pages over couple of ten times, the google bot would be 'alerted' to come check your new site content for which adsense would determine what sort of ad to display...

Google has specifically mentioned that Adding Adsense codes does not mean getting indexed in Google. And sitting idle does not mean Google will find you unless you get linked from atleast one indexed website. And more deep that link on that indexed site is, more time it will take for Google to find you.
