Is it safe to buy backlinks or SEO packages?

Hello everyone

I've created some small sites that give reviews for products.
I'm not an SEO expert and I'm not enough time to do SEO.

I saw that on Fiverr or SeoClerk that are selling some backlinks or full SEO packages.
I'm wondering that whether these services are safe today.
For example, how could they sell us the backlinks that have contents, relate to our keywords? The non-related backlinks can make our site more badly.

Are there any suggestion or experience about this?

  • yes it still works but you need to make sure you know what you're buying before ordering. Some seo guys still use ancient methods that don't work anymore.

      Complete junk.

Look at some of the fiverr gig link profiles, all obvious spam with 100s/1000s of links on a single backlink page.

I've seen one fiverr gig selling links that had over 14,000 backlinks on a single webpage (no joke).

Only a fool would buy those links.

I can confirm: a lot of people who bought from this junk website,
have been sandboxed by Google, and never recovered to get ranked again in search results.

The whole value of their website was practically killed by these junk backlinks

Be careful with a lot of those, almost anything at those prices are low quality and only good for tier 2 or 3 links using them to backlink your main site will probably do more harm than good.

you should buy only the backlinks from sites with relevant to your site content otherwise it's a risk to get filtered

it is safe as long as they are not too much (thousands of links), and they are not built in a short period of time.

They're still crap, sure you could add just a couple, spread out, and by hand so its not poorly built, but they are not going to be strong or worth your time like this either.

A good strategy is doing PBN and guest post blog posts linking to your site. Then also going out and getting good web 2.0s (like blogs and articles and stuff with links) with good and relevant unique and handwritten articles and link back to your main page. THEN some of these lower quality/automatically built links like you're mentioning can be used to link to the web 2.0s you made to get them indexed and a little bit of added link juice.

Generally though, especially without knowing the provider and his quality, you should avoid using any of these services like you are mentioning linking directly to your main/money page. You have probably a 75%+ chance for them to be so low quality you'll end up doing more harm than good and one bad service provider (remember these are automated $5 services - the lowest quality of all link services - not a $150 PBN or guest posting service that is well reviewed) can add a ton of bad links that hurt you or worse yet add bad/spammy links that get reported and get a manual penalty applied to your website greatly lowering your search engine rankings.

These type of links are not for your main site/money page, they are tier 2 (tier 1 being high quality content and links to your main site/money page) which are links to tier 1 links or even tier 3 which are links to some of the better tier 2 (like articles with spun but unique content) links (obviously most tier 2s like blog comments, profiles, social networking sites, etc. you don't build tier 3 links to though).

Its a good thing you asked this though and hopefully others see as well. These links are cheap and are great for what they are - bulk tier 2 and tier 3 links. These are potentially very dangerous if you misunderstand and use them as tier 1 links, especially on a newer site or a site you have done little link building to date on.
