    I just mentioned in another thread but really what worked wonders for me in the past was creating a Facebook Fanpage for the website and posting one link from the site per day. Example: Page Title > Link > Description. After a few weeks the website was ranking high on Google.

    There are many SEO steps to follow for a new website

    first do proper on page for your website
    Add unique content for all the pages
    add a blog page and update it frequently
    do keyword research and select suitable keywords for your website
    to start with go for long tail keywords with reasonable search and low/medium competition
    do competitirs analysis, image optimization and social media..
    submit in Google analytics and webmaster tool
    use various SEO tools to analyse keyword ranking and competitors analysis
    Do off page optimization, mainly link building and content promotion
    backlink is still one of the important ranking factors, but you need to submit in relevant sites with high domain and page authority..
    do local business classified submission and map submission
    submit in slideshare..

    Main thing is SEO is a time consuming one,it takes nearly 3 to 4 months to bring a keyword on top of Google.. By doing proper SEO you can increase overall traffic to the site..

      It's pretty hard to actually get a link from these high-profile websites. Unless your content is top-notch or you're the new hot startup they're not going to even consider.

      Wikipedia is something you should just forget about. The links are nofollow so they're not going to help you. Sure, it feels good to have a Wikipedia link, but that's about the only benefit.

      OP, it's pretty hard to give any better advice than the idiotic drivel in comment #3. You didn't tell anything about your site. So yes, you should maybe try having some content and doing some SEO.

    Use unique and best content for getting more views on your article. Put your article on high traffic blogs for getting traffic on site. You can promote your site on social media sites.

    first i would fix up your English a tad bit. Honestly i wasn't trying to be rude but nobody wants to read a large amount of text that could potentially make no sense if grammar isn't on par. Also i agree with nettiapina on this. Wiki will do you zero good. That stuff is all nofollow junk and will not influence rankings. You could get some direct traffic though and link portfolio diversification... but that's about it.
