hi.. I have a website about how to make money online where people can add there way on how to make money and i just started a another one that is about Where to invest money.
My firt site is now barely growing with about 100 to 150 visit a day and about 300 pageview.
I would like to rank better both of my site and get more visitors.

Until now i mostly created links myself and with some fiverr gig.

The problem with fiverr for me its that both my website are in french and im afraid of buying a gig from english people as they usually create backlink on english blog and website.

and here come my question: How does backlink creation on an other language then the one use on my site would affect my seo? good or bad?

thanks for your comment or suggestion

If you want only local traffic I mean Traffic from French, then it will be better to focus on Local SEO. As I know, language somehow matter for link building because it trends to be local. But there is nothing to worry about Spam for backlinks from English Blog.

This appears to be the major problem here. You've paid someone to push a button, and generate a load of spammy backlinks. Not sure why you thought this would help.

In my opinion you're right to suspect that the backlink language/geolocation matters. Any decent backlink is better than no backlink, but if you can get links from your home country it might make your site appear more relevant in France.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

I did not buy thos 15000 backlinks for 5 dollars hehe I got more people putting a link on there blog for a month and keep repaying ( with good pagerank) or people manually submitting to all kind of local directory.. making sure i use different anchor and description.

Also promote a couple of sub page.. But still look like google is sending me 100 visitors a day and it get hard to get more..

But now that i know i can use english SEO service it will probably be easier to promote as there is way more english page out there..

      Thanks everyone

So you're paying for sidebar or footer links on a blog? Ok, that might work. If you're talking about guest posts it's much less effective. Local or topical directories also aren't the worst idea around. However, the free ones tend to be pretty crappy, and there's a lot of "fake" directories around (ie. template-based spammy sites).

Guest posting is not such a good method now because all of the spam it involves.
Because so many people buy guest posts Google started to give it less and less importance.

Watch out with those directories. The majority of them are link farms, nothing more. You can do harm to your SEO if you`re not paying close attention.
From my SEO knowledge the best practice is to have backlinks from websites on the same niche as you and that also is true for the language.
If you have a french blog about cars but you get a backlink from an english blog about coffee you will confuse Google. (the search engine will ask itself: Is this a french website about cars or an english blog about coffee?)

One more thing on the buying links crap. Are those links at least targeted? If you have a link about cars on a coffee blogs nobody will click on it. Also, not many people are going to click on footer links.

Language is not a problem as it is an international language, so don't worry for this and yes it will increase your traffic.
