1 website, 2 locations, backlinks

Hi,

I have an oral surgeon client that has 2 locations. I am currently building backlinks for the client's website to directories. Should the backlink url in the directory link to the homepage (www.oralsurgeon.com) or to each location page (www.oralsurgeon.com/location1 and oralsurgeon.com/location2)?

    Any kind of link which is linked to the root directory works for the entire domain. Suppose, you made a link to http://xyz.com then it will definitely effect http://xyz.com/page1 & also http://xyz.com/page2 .

    Yeah you may also build links separately to page1 & page2 but then it will be only valuing the linked page and not the other.

    But this does not will play if you have a sub-domain as such http://forums.xyz.com or http://blog.xyz.com . In that case linking only to the root domain will not be sufficient you must have to build links to the separate sub-domains too. As in this case they are considered as separate sites.
