Getting website ready for marketing

I am building my first affiliate marketing website www.madforitcyclist.co.uk. I launched it and didn't have much success on visitors 5 per day. I am building up an action plan to work on the website: before I think about traffic.

1. Improve product reviews from one to three products.
2. Hyperlink blog and product reviews.
3. Get to grips with Google analytics

Anyone else got any more that should go on the list. hopefully this thread won't just help me but also others.

    Sounds good
Now, you need to know what will be your audience and how to target them.
Also, make a plan to do SEO (long term work) and get traffic quickly.

    Kind regards,

After you establish the look and feel of your site and have good info or valuable content. What you need to do is to add at least one long content to your site every week and focus on bringing traffic to your site. You may want to convert your content to different file types like audio, video, ppt, etc and submit it to different sites for backlinks and potential traffic. Focus on making it viral by providing and/or submitting infographics and use guest blogging to high traffic sites. So many things to do but when you started doing it, the daily process would become easier especially when you see improvement of your traffic.

    Regards,

    Ross

I would recommend building some value into the site. Now when you go you just have images. Write up some articles and talk about the product. Give a customer a reason to stay on the site.
