Tier 2 Links To Authority Sites???

I was wondering; if you get editorial links from websites like huffingtonpost is it a good idea to build Tier 2 links to that page that's linking to your site? I'm currently linked by several high authority sites and became curious about this.

    NO - If you are going to build your tier 2 with Gsa ser or other low quality links.

    YES - if you can build a tier 2 also with authority links.

      Hm, I can definitely build tier 2 authority links...but would I have a greater benefit if I pointed these authority links directly to my site?

        If they are willing to directly link to your site then you should be doing it already.

        Why would you NOT want an authority link directly to your site?

        The only scenario I can think of is an authority site not willing to link directly to you but will happily link to an article on Huffington post then in that case you can have it on your second tier.
