Hello Warriors,

Its been a while but I have a problem that some of you more Techy guys may be able to help with. When I create a new post now on one of my WP sites it seems to either only rank for an archive post or even worse rank for both...here is an example

2016-02-09_1151 - daftdog1888's library

If any of you guys have experienced this before I would be very greatful if you could point me in the right direction. I have built and ranked over 500 sites but have never had this problem and it seems to have stemmed after Yoast's new plugin update...

and Yes I have spent days Googling this and can't find an exact answer!

TIA,

Marc

500? Man I thought I had a lot of sites.

Check canonical tags and make sure they are pointing to the correct location, I can't do that myself since your site is in maintenance mode.

Edit: Checked via google cache, it just seems like google is doing whatever it wants.

Edit2: I added your backlink profile to my firewall's blacklist.

Thank you my friend....my site is now live, does that give you a better idea? I have been playing around with the breadcrumbs and hoping it may be that! Are you able to see the canonical tags from there?

500 + is what I have done in around 4 or 5 years and now I only own a few, others like the 100+ sniper sites I had until the first Google update I just let die, sold a few, helped people out, it catches up!

As we are chatting I was looking for a decent Fiverr seller to check my onsite SEO but now they all want you to buy 20 gigs or name some crazy price(yes 1 guy said buy 20 gigs and I will do it)...also once you start talking like you are no rookie they usually stop answering.

Anyway point is if you know of anyone who would do the job for a decent price PM me!

      Thanks again mate,

Is late here so speak tomorrow

The page titles are screwed up is the first thing I see.

        Code:
        http://thewolfofonlinemarketing.com/500-cpa-every-day-review/
        Code:
<title>t| The Wolf Of Online Marketing</title>
Also, it appears google has not completely updated.

        Look: https://www.google.com/search?num=10....0.OPACPbEUW3U

That phrase does not even exist in the html of the category page.

It's like you switched from full posts to excerpts and google just hasn't updated it yet.

The cache indicates that I am correct.

Also, the words "Fiverr" and "Decent" do not go in the same sentence.

Maybe "Fiverr" and "Ripoff" or "Scam."

People on Fiverr are allowed to do 1 thing and 1 thing only for me. They can make me an image I use on my site, that's all.

"Cartoon of a robot shooting a laser beam, oh the robot says "GOOGLE" on it. Five bucks, GO. :20 minutes later: Dude the robot looks like it ate a derp sandwich. Sigh, you know there's two Os in Google right???... I don't understand your gibberish response, what language is that? I thought you said you were from America? Whatever... Just give me the PSD file... That's an illustrator file... Never mind... Great Job 5 Stars"

Thanks, I fixed the post title, it was my fault for messing around with the coding of Yoast....

I still cant get rid of the archive page rankings which is a real pain. Do you have any ideas?

Yes I have been doing a lot of testing and playing around with certain aspects of my site so I guess Google is just catching up. I said that this all started after the last Yoast update but in truth my site got very subtly hacked with someone redirecting my traffic and content and I am still worried about a backdoor being left open.

Also I had to block certain bots using a robot.txt file, they were sending me a ton of bad traffic and who knows what else. I also reported 2 sites which were stealing my original content.

Yes I have to say that I am really losing my respect for Fiverr, there used to be some really skilled workers on there a few years back but now it has really changed, I think that I will do what you do and stick to getting my headers and logos only from there. The crazy thing is that it is now not really Fiverr because as soon as you ask about a gig that is advertised for $5, almost every seller demands a custom order or to buy 10 to 20 gigs even before they actually know what they need to do!!

You have been very helpful mate and I appreciate it. Besides the archive posts 1 last question....I am thinking about moving 1 or 2 sites to the dedicated WP hosting, any thoughts about that??

          Thanks again,

I have multiple VPS (Virtual Private Servers) at different ISPs (so an outage doesn't destroy my income, not for SEO reasons, I can also back the sites up via FTP extremely quickly, account to account.)

I don't think it really matters where the site is hosted, as long as the server responds quickly and isn't overloaded, it's not on an IP with a bunch of sites that were massively spammed (there's some evidence of penalties at the IP level but it is rare), it should be located in whatever ever country your target audience is it, and I don't see how "Word Press Hosting" is any better then regular old linux based hosting. Oh and make sure the company isn't owned by EIG. As Full As Possible List of EIG Companies and Brands With Details (Beware EIG Hosting!) Trust me, EIG companies are not run correctly and you will be disappointed.

I personally love VPS accounts but there's a bit more to know then with a regular hosting account since you will have to manage the server not just the sites.

For about 50$ a month you have a totally private server with a dedicated private IP (usually you can get more IPs for 1-2$ a month.) I use them for everything, file hosting, email, mailing small email lists, web hosting obviously, free private proxies. I even used to run a private IRCD on one of them.

I realize you don't seem to do the kind of SEO I do but if you're trying to contact a lot of site owners for white hat SEO, it's never really a brilliant idea to send more then 100 emails per IP a day, so having the servers send the email from their IP address allows me to get more done.
