      3) Combine all the data into one spreadsheet.

      4) Rank the words by the least amount of Google results to the greatest.

      5) Delete all phrases with over 100,000 Google results.

      6) Rank the remainder of your list by most search volume to least.

      7) Go down the list one by one to identify long tailed phrases that can be turned into an article.

The best practice is to focus on keyword phrases with a monthly search volume of at least 50 with less than 100,000 results in Google.

Great insight. I know there a number of ways of doing this. May even be unique for each person, but I really like this one. I don't have the same process 100% but a huge chunk is the same.

Doing this right will definitely bring in good results.

      Thanks.

Great question! You shouldn't do research for every blog post. What you should do is some research to get about 10 keywords or so (to start anyways) and start sprinkling those into your blog posts at a rate of about 2-3 per post. Simply keep using the same keywords and once you start getting some google juice, start adding in new keywords!

I hope that helps and good luck!

Use long tail keywords and keyword phrase with less competition and more search volume. Use trending keywords and to select keywords there is Google keyword planner which help you in the best way. Google trends is another tool to know the trending keywords.

  • Yes, you can search keywords for single blog post but keep in mind blog post should be contained with more than 500 words and target keywords should be relevant. Target only 2-3 keywords for single blog post.
