On page:
 URL structure (Using a matching keyword in the url) & title tag
 Check for Canonical URL's ( http://mydomain.com/shirt.html & http://mydomain.com/apparel/shirt.html)
 Keywords (use niche, long tail keywords). Be smart, please don't over use keywords

 Meta description (Abstraction of the website)
 Heading tags (H1 - H6 tags )
 Doctype declaration (SEO Tools, Software and Articles - SEO Site Checkup | SeoSiteCheckup.com)
 XML Site map
 Robots.txt
 Image alt tag attributes
 Missing anchor text for links
 Content on website/page - relevancy
 Page speed issues (Don't use flash & heavy animated objects)
 Mobile friendliness
 Check for W3C standards (World Wide Web Consortium) - W3C is an organization that was created in order to develop and maintain the standards of the Internet - (https://validator.w3.org)
 Internal linking
 External linking


Off Page:
 Writing articles/blogs
 Directory submission
 Social bookmarking sites
 Business profiles creation
 Outside link building
 Social media marketing
 Guest posting
 Forum posting/commenting
 Influencer outreach (Ask them to Tweet, write blog etc)
 PR

    A new account posts a SEO checklist that isn't totally terrible. That's rare.

    There's a few very poor suggestions in the off-site list, but that's expected. These are useless.
