Does a link from Forbes or Inc provide value when the PA is so low for the individual page?

Hi, I recently have been lucky enough to be mentioned in Forbes and Inc, but I'm confused by the value of the PA against DA.

Both are 90 or so DA, however the pages for each that I'm linked on are of a very low score. Will this mean that they provide almost no value?

Thanks so much,
Mattie

      Correction...

Google doesn't rank pages on homemade 3rd party metrics.

The 3rd party bots are slow (moz, etc...), might take them months to find new pages. Even when they find new pages they may never visit the same page twice. A typical webpage builds organic links over time so a page would have to be reindexed several times for years to see the BIG picture.

The big sites like Forbes, etc... create thousands of pages & bury those pages very fast. They better have their own backlink profile on the exact URL where the backlink is located or at least nested one click away from a strong internal webpage.

Depends entirely on how you were mentioned. New pages always start out weak in any metric (same with the now discontinued pagerank data) . IF it was an article that article may be linked to in time so its impossible to know.

If you got an editorial kind of link then thats always a good thing. I'd ignore Moz metrics though - better to go with Majestic or ahrefs.

None of the metrics are ever updated in real time, so just looking at metrics is never going to tell you if a link is good or not. It could take Moz 6 weeks to even notice the new URL, much less find links the page might have attracted.

A real editorial link on a site like Forbes is never going to hurt you.
