Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share this great software with you. I don't know the owner and I'm not putting an affiliate link here, but I just thought you'd want to know.

I tested a software called "Blog Comment Demon". I simply searched for related sites based on the keyword I put in. I posted responses to about... I think 30. Then stopped completely. 3 days later, the site I was promoting went from page 15 to page 1 (#6 in fact).

It's my wife's site, EverydayMomDesigns.com, for the keyword "premade scrapbook pages". I've since then given the software to my wife and she's starting to do it herself. She doesn't know about SEO and stuff, but she just follows my instructions.

She's also actually on page 1 for "premade scrapbooks" and even the other "pre-made scrapbook pages". So I know this works VERY well. I know it's that competitive of a market, but it goes to show how quickly the results can be.

If your market is more difficult, it will just take a little longer and a bit more effort, but this software really helps. I will have someone manage it for my other 50 sites now.

Oh crappers, I just realized this thread probably belongs in the main marketing category. Moderators, please move this thread as necessary. Thanks and sorry about that.

      Looks good.

I have their Bookmarking Demon tool and it works great...I didn't know this one came out. It seems like it works quite a bit better than CommentKahuna or some other tools by the demo videos you can get when you signup for their opt-in list.

BTW I HATE that lady. She appears(or someone like her) on my main competitors page. My business partner and I have joked about hiring someone to create a program that walks over to her and tells her to shut it.

Is comment kahuna free still? I think it was at some point.

    Hey guys,

It's hard to say how much it has affected my marketing because I use a lot of different forms of marketing. Blog responses aren't the only way because it's never enough. It's a little bit of this and a little bit of that to really do the trick.

I mean, much like working out, you can't expect to become stronger if you work out with just ONE exercise or ONE method. You have to work all kinds of other muscles just to make a huge difference in the size and strength of your body.

So much like working out, when you do search engine marketing, you have to concentrate on many different types of marketing methods. So I hate to disappoint, but I can't answer your questions as whether it has affected my ranking due to blog posting.

I know it has brought a few of my sites down, but not all of them. The majority of them are actually picking up. So it's all good here, folks.

I haven't checked on software price and etc... I just outsource a lot of my work, so I just continue using what I have.

Btw, my wife's site had the hardest time getting PR and ranking for some reason, but it finally got a PR1, lol. Unfortunately though, I haven't marketed her site in the past 2-3 months. I know... bad, hubby! I'm on it now! I think her site is now finally on the road to recovery and we should be able to obtain at least a PR3 or 4 on the next update.

I'm pretty sure ScrapeBox didn't exist when this thread was first started. At most, it may have been in it's very early stages.

I do remember looking at Blog Comment Demon a fair while ago, but never bought it. There are a plethora of blog commenting bots, though, I don't think there is too much difference between most of them.

I really like Bookmarking Demon, though, so I imagine Blog Comment Demon would also be of high quality.

Listen. The work is still manual. It takes you time and effort to think of what to search for and what to say. The software simply enhances and increases your time and effort level. Software is meant to be that way.

Software is a form of automation. If automation didn't work, we wouldn't have gotten into the industrial boom and internet boom. Assembly lines of machine and robots would not exist.

If you guys are too closed-minded to understand this simple concept, then you'll continue to not make money.

You can run as fast as you can, but you'll never beat me no matter what car I drive (given that it is a fully functional car). The car is the software. It just makes the transportation faster and requires less time than walking. It's still manual effort put it. I manipulate it however I want.

If I want to go left, I turn left. If I want it to stop, it stops (unless you have a Toyota). Point is, you still have full control of everything that gets done. This kind of software just speeds it up!

So get over it. The software does its part, it's up to you to do the other.

Your entire computer is a software, but it can't make you money unless you know how to MAKE IT produce the money for you.

Bingo Kevin. Right on the money. I'm a big critique of total automation and blasts but you CAN use the tools in a responsible manner and if you think what to say rather than feed it some generic obvious spam post then its just a tool that can be used wisely and responsibly.

I use the software on various smaller sites, as it does not that much for the main-keyword, it shows better results on sub-pages with long-tail keywords. As a matter of fact, many webmaster are just not approving the comment as soon you have a website-mentioned, even you create good-sized related comments (maybe women blogging about scrapbooks are not that link-greedy).

I do believe it is a great software but many blogs you finally get approved have already 300 spam links on it.

But again, it is a good tool for a complete backling campaign if you also use all other options for building backlinks.

    cheers

Rhoody, you do know you can filter the results so that it DOESN'T have 300 comments already, right? I use this program on a variety of sites, not just scrapbook pages.

I am pretty aware of that, but setting it up to valuable parameters (outgoing links, PR, doFollow etc) will not produce a lot of valuable results and most of them are strict moderated.

I still use the software as part of the whole "backlink-picture" and as long I can tell my web-monkey to do it and don't need to do it by myself I can life with it

How different or better is this software compared to many free ones in the market. All said and done, what matters in the end is how good and relevant our comment is on the blog where we post it. If the comments do not satisfy the blog owners, they can get deleted instantly.

Personally, I am not a big fan of blog commenting for link gathering purpose. I feel the returns for the time spent are not worth it. Spend the same amount of time on other link building methods and you can get returns many times over. Just my 2 cents!

All the same, congrats to Kevin and his wife for their success in getting to page 1. Enjoy it!

This is why it is hired out ;-). And thanks. Since I hired my full-time designer he was able to fix some problems in her site... including a hack that had been there for about 2 months. Well... he found it, I fixed it, lol. I'm pretty well-rounded, just don't have time to do everything.

Not sure about that software but Fast Blog Finder v3.0 is very good. Not used it for a while but as far as blog commenting goes, it's great. There is a free version but I highly recommend the paid version as it can retrieve hundreds, or even thousands of relevant blogs.

Just so I make it clear - blog commenting is NOT crap. I tested it on a brand spanking new website. ALL I DID was post comments on other blogs to promote it. It was a 7-day test. I posted around 5 comments each day. I've stopped commenting after that. 2 months later, it is averaging about 400 visitors a month.

Yep, no pinging, no bookmarking, no article marketing, etc, etc. There's another site I built up doing some other tests and it generates about 1,000 visitors a month on autopilot. I need to find time to work out the kinks and make a training series on how I got this to work.

Some day... some day when I'm not doing web design, SEO, copywriting or launching products for clients, lol.

I'm not saying that's how it is for everything, but just that it works. So know that it is possible, but as you mentioned, if it shows to not have any type of growth, don't waste your time. Heck, I spent very little time and it still generates income on autopilot through AdSense for me.

I just gotta find more time to systemize it. My wife or a worker will start running the program on 80+ of my domains. Hopefully, that could mean 80,000 visitors a month with about a 2% CTR, averaging about $0.50/click, that's about $800 extra a month on autopilot. Yeah, that's not much, that's why I'm not spending very much time on that, lol. Still, it's free money, so I'll find time for it eventually.

Yes, you'll be able to filter and know whether it is a *do* or "no" follow, however, I can't say that it is 100% accurate. It depends on a lot of different settings. Personally, I never had a problem with it.

Blog comments are not nearly as effective as blog content. Having links in the content area of one pr1 blog is far more valuable than 10 pr5 blog comments, if you could even find 5pr sites that don't have 'no follow' tags that render your links useless.

There are a couple of services that have large networks of blogs wanting new content and you can submit short articles to these blogs in every niche with two backlinks to your site. One is called Article Ranks and one is Unique Article Wizard. They are both free to sign up to receive daily free unique content from their members.

Article ranks lets you submit articles free if you have published articles from their network, or you can pay a few dollars per submission and get dozens to hundreds of blog content links, depending on the niche and the quality of your article.

Unique Article Wizard has a much larger network and they also submit to article directories without you having to sign up for any of them. It costs about $67 per month to be able to post articles every day. One article can get you 500 to 700 powerful baclinks if your content is good in a large niche.

One site I had went from a PR1 To a PR3 in one month after submitting just two articles to Unique Article Wizard linking to that site. It is the best bang for the buck of any website promotion I know of.

Well, maybe not. OnlyWire is a free Wordpress plugin that can bookmark your website to over 30 high PR social media sites with one click of the mouse. Awesome tool. You do have to take the time to sign up to the free sites like Digg, Mixx, Link-A-GoGo,etc. It is free if you put their bookmark button on your site, or $2.95 a month just to have it on your PC browser. I put the button on all of my blogs.

It may take over an hour to sign up for all of the sites, but you only have to do it once, unlike the comment software, and enter the username and passwords into the software, but you will get 30+ high PR backlinks every time you post an article or web page (up to 5 a day), with the click of a mouse. Super powerful tool.

    To your success

      Thanks for sharing Kevin.

I fully agree with the power of blog commenting. It's so effective when done right. It's by far the easiest way of getting a true high pr link.

Don't forget that newspapers, universities and institutions often have blogs and they don't know about SEO or backlinking.

I think the problem is that people are just too lazy to write a good comment.

I will check out Blog Comment Demon. At the moment I am using Scrapebox for finding high-pr blogs and other platforms to comment on. What a waste that software is, if you spam!

I've pulled the marketing back on her site because she's not going to be selling anything on there any more. I make enough money as it is for her to worry about selling premade scrapbook pages.
