Are 403 forbiden pages a cause for concern?

Hi

We have a site that, when run through Screaming frog and integrity (broken link tool mac), is showing a lot of 403 forbidden codes.

Are these a problem for SEO purposes and could they affect ranking?
And how can i determine why they are occurring?

All of these pages are accessible and live but I'm guessing that they can't be crawled properly.

    in SF, under speed, put the threads to 1. Check limit URLs, set max URI/S to 1. Recrawl it and see if the errors are still there.

    Or try screwing around with the user agent.

    Check your server log files before you scanned and make sure you are not getting the errors from the real bots.

    It's likely your web server just doesn't like your tools.

    I ran Screaming Frog on OPs site & don't see a single 403. I do see three 404s.

    • domain.com/green/bird-cam
