Hi guys,

I just created my first affilliate ecommerce store and I had a few questions. Im completely new to everything but have been doing as much research as possible to drive traffic to my site. My question has to do with keywords. I have product pages where I name keywords for each of my product categories. When I created the site, I didn't have knowledge of seo like I do now, so my url title really doesnt have the unique long tail keyword that gets me past the other competition and leaves me buried for a lot of pages. However, now there are several keywords I know to use that would help with traffic. Is it optimal to have many long tail or unique keywords on all your pages and articles to drive traffic to the site? My last question is how important your url name is when getting optimized for seo in the future? I want to create more websites down the road.
#keywords
  • Hello!

    1. You should use the keywords for the meta title, description and in the URL of course, you can also use this for the image alt tag.

Note: The keyword must be related to the product too! Sometimes the keywords are not properly matched with the product.

Give one example of your product and the title you have used for your website! Then, it can be easier to understand how much you do good or any wrong on them.

Its good to optimized the URL. But, don't make your URL too much big. I will recommend 60 characters only for full URL of any particular product. Other persons can give more detailed and well instruction to you!

I told so far I think you should do!

After keyword analysis I have found certain long tail keywords that are related to products I sell. Should I create blog articles with these keywords on my website to bring these visitors ? The reason being long tail keywords is I'm buried in competition for my short keywords

I have been using keyword planner. My question is is it beneficial to use long tail keywords for my product pages to get unique traffic because my main single keyword leaves me buried in competition.

It is optimal to use long term keywords but just don't use too many on your pages or Google might see that as keyword stuffing, which is not allowed.

First you should find out the keywords that get customers to choose when hit GG to search?
If keywords short, I think that the competition is very high!
But not so that abuse to keyword stuffing, use keywords depending on the content and what you want SEO!
Hope it's useful for you ! thanks

Build link (with brand name anchor text) to your homepage and make sure that your website is well silo-ed. That way the link juice will flow uniformly throughout the site and you will start ranking for the keywords individually. This is the easiest way to send link juice to all pages.

I'm sorry, could you go a little more in depth with what you mean when you say to build link to my homepage and everything will be silo-ed. Sorry I'm still very new to all of this.
