You could also try to install a cache plugin, or switch to faster hosting. I'm not sure if Joomla itself will help that much, and rebuilding a site just for this reason seems a bit too drastic for me.

Not really, unless your site is very slow. But I'm talking about 10+ second page loads. If your site is reasonably snappy it seems to make no difference.

Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Wordpress is considered to be the best for SEO purpose. Did you try to know why the speed of your page is slow? Are you using too much images or flash on your website or is there any other reason for slow page loading? Kindly find out and solve.

    Hi Joey,

Sign up for Cloudflare. It's what's called a CDN (content delivery network). It will help improve the speed and security of your site. It also provides minification, which compresses your site's code so it loads faster.

    https://www.cloudflare.com/features-cdn/

Compressing your site's images will also help with speed: Joomla has a free one called Imgen. WP Smush or EWWW work well for Wordpress.

    Best,
    Matt

I am using Joomla version 1.5.26 and i want to transfer my content to WordPress without losing the current SEO of the joomla website. I also want to keep the domain that i am using at the moment. To be more specific i just want to keep the SEO of just 2 articles that bring the most organic traffic.

Once you have imported all your content from Joomla into WordPress, the next step is to fix all broken internal links. Scroll down to the bottom of the Joomla (FG) importer page and click on Modify internal links button.
