Rebranding Domain

Hi, I have a domain that I already have had for a while want to turn it into an actually website.

I need to rebrand it, can i do this or would this be considered spam?


Ex:

Use (google.com) domain but the actually site brand would be Yahoo.

Create social properties with Yahoo and try to establish Yahoo as the Brand.



Can I do this?

And down the road, when other websites or fans link to my site, if they use yahoo as achor text, would that be ok or confuse google?


I really want to repurpose this domain, I have had it for a while now and want to use it.




Any advise?

    Why not try to think of new domain name. The more unique it is the better.

    You might have trouble in the future if you used it. Might as well think of a unique one to avoid confusion.
