I know of 2 Bookmarking Sites that Show up Quickly for Backlinks ...

I have been social bookmarking for a while now and just recently looked up how they were doing. I checked with Yahoo Site Explorer and Backlinkwatch.com

In most cases, the only bookmarking sites that show up are Propeller and Digg. Has anyone noticed any other social bookmarking site(s) that shows up quickly in terms of giving you the credit for the backlink?

What's showed up quite a bit for me is Mixx which I thought was kinda weird but I guess you could try it out and see what happens.

It doesn't matter. What matters is if Google picks them up and then they stick. Link building is a process. And just because Yahoo shows it quickly in their tool doesn't mean Google will apply it to your ranking quickly.

Build for the long term. Money comes with value and time.

If you look at any blog or site making money... real money you'll see it didn't happen overnight.

What actually shows up and what the search engines have found, is a lot different. Both Google and Yahoo only show maybe 10% of the links that they find. I don't have any links that I can share with you, but I have seen what I would take as decent proof that G & Y and probably the others too, will not let you know the number of back links they found because of the possibility that you might use that information to try to reverse engineer their algorithm. There is no incentive for them to let you know, and they don't.

  I agree with propeller showing up pretty quickly. Many of the social bookmarking sites do NOT show up, even after 6+ months, at least that is my experience.

Checking backinks with yahoo and backlinkwatch is all fine and dandy but they will never show how many backlinks you really have. As an example, go check out some social bookmark pages or any other page you've left your link on. More often then not, you can check if the page is indexed with google and it will yet you won't see it on yahoo or BLW as linking to your site.

If google has the page indexed, you can bet it checked outbound links on that page.

Propeller is a perfect one than digg for me.other bookmark sites dont show but they can help in getting rank in search engines

Be careful with too many submissions to propeller. They will ban your entire domain. Yikes!

If you want all the social bookmarking sites to be index fast showing backlinks to your site, is to use Pingler.

But the bad thing is to go to each social bookmark site, use the URL that was given to you where you bookmark, use the URL to ping using Pingler.

This way, it will inform all the major search engines that there is a new link, thus showing backlink, and good ranking for that web page or blog post.
