How I Build Real Authority, Editorial .EDU Links, PA DA 50+, FOR FREE! No Fiverr Bull Crap!

Hey guys, I'm not here to sell a single thing, though the article I am going to link you too was written by me, and there are ABSOLUTELY NO Affiliate links in the content.

Even the most seasoned SEO's grin when they obtain a legit editorial .EDU backlink. Why? .EDU links are often some of the most trusted websites online and carry heavy weighted metrics. I've been able to build PA 50+ DA 85+ backlinks on EDU sites, do-follow, placed by the editor and I DIDNT SPEND A DOLLAR. Instead of charging for this tutorial, I decided to give back to the community by offering the guide free of charge.

Check it out - Its long, but its full of rich content!

Hey John, some solid info there! I've read this strategy before but none as detailed as yours. Do you just post their articles even if they were not selected? Do you really think smaller amount of fund would still get them to link to us? I'm wondering if this works for other niche. Thanks for sharing!

      Great questions!
Yes, even if not selected I usually still post the content on Scrubwire. I make a disclaimer on the scholarship application form saying that we have the right to do so. So not only am I getting free content, Im also getting the link I want.

Honestly, I find that I have had the best luck offering 500 dollars. Its not an astronomical amount of money to come up with, but it is also enough to gain the attention of students and more importantly the web editors who will place your links. Now, I have indeed gotten links only offering 250.00 as well.

Just my 2 cents, thanks for the kind words.
      John

Legit technique. The only downside is that it's costly if the campaign fails. I mean I guess if nobody knows about the scholarship you could just delete it.

To be clear though, Google doesn't prefer .edu links or sites, they just happen to generally be higher quality sites with more authority then the average .com site. If somebody told me I was going to get 10 links from random sites, 10 .edu or 10 .com, I would take the .edu domains because the average .com domain is probably garbage. So the thing with .edu sites, it's that they make nice targets for SEOs since, they usually have some authority, you really don't need to pull out SEO tools to figure out if a .edu link is worth it. It typically is unless it's on a orphaned subdomain with no direct authority flow from the root domain.

From my experience though, even if you set aside 250.00 (there really isnt any upfront cost, your not paying the university to link to your page, its free), your going to get backlinks. You just have to use the script I provided and ask the right person (which I also show you how to find the right contact and email). So the only costly matter is time if it doesn't work, but if you send out at least 15 emails I can assure you that at least 2 will return the link favor

Thank you for posting a thread about .edu that's not garbage or a scam.

Checked the post yesterday, and the ideas seem solid. I probably would not be comfortable with the "free articles" part where one student basically wins a contest, but if you feel the same way you could skip that and just get the backlinks.

Definitely gave me something to think about. One of the sites I develop is in an industry where these links would help. I'm not from the US so can't use it directly, but it's a nice example of a content that an educational institution would be happy to link.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

I think people outside of the united states could use it, too, or at least contact education institutions in your country. When I was in college I had won a foreign scholarship so I know you shouldn't be limited if you are in the USA directly.

Why would you stray from the free articles? Most scholarships often require some sort of essay.

We'd be interested in the local institutions. Scholarships aren't such a big thing in these parts of the world because the studying has been free for the most part. However, it's certainly possible to come up with some other linkable asset.

Also, there's nothing wrong with links from the US.

Well, you've got to get some sort of essay from them. My issue is more on the side of using the articles without compensation. Sorry if I got that wrong, but I thought that was what you said in the article.

I believe this is doable in our country. It may just be a bit difficult these days as many are in the defensive mode about too many things all thanks to the national elections campaign period.
